1. Who is responsible for this information
Calculator XL is responsible for the information described in this policy. For privacy questions, requests, or concerns, email contact@calculatorxl.com.
The current static release does not include a sign-in workflow. You can use the catalogue and its tools without creating a Calculator XL profile. Please do not send passwords, payment details, government identifiers, or other sensitive information by email unless we specifically ask for it and explain why.
2. Calculator inputs stay in your browser
For ordinary calculators, the values you enter and the calculation result are processed by JavaScript in your browser. Those values are not ordinarily sent to Calculator XL servers.
If you press a copy button, your browser is asked to copy the displayed result to your device clipboard. Calculator XL does not receive the copied value through that action.
Calculator XL is not a secure record system. Do not enter confidential information merely because a field accepts text or numbers.
3. Local storage and preferences
The site may use your browser’s local storage to remember choices on the device and browser where you made them. The current release uses local storage for the selected theme, saved calculators, and some recent calculator inputs.
These preferences remain under your control. Clearing site data, using private browsing, changing browsers, or using a different device may remove or reset them. Local storage is not an account and is not synchronized with Calculator XL.
4. Currency conversion requests
Currency calculators request a currency pair and the latest available rate from the Frankfurter exchange-rate API. The amount you enter and the conversion arithmetic are handled in the browser. The request can expose the selected currency pair, your IP address, browser information, request time, and other technical information normally included with an internet request to that provider.
Rates are indicative and time-sensitive. They may not include bank spreads, card fees, commissions, taxes, or settlement differences. The provider’s own privacy policy and terms apply to its service. Calculator XL may change rate providers in a later release and will update this policy when that changes how information is handled.
5. Fonts, icons, hosting, and technical requests
The current site loads fonts from Google Fonts and icons from Font Awesome’s Cloudflare CDN. When your browser requests those files, the relevant provider may receive technical request information such as your IP address, browser type, referring page, and the requested resource.
The hosting environment may also receive standard HTTP request data needed to deliver the site, protect it, diagnose errors, and maintain availability. Calculator XL does not use that technical data to identify you personally through the calculator interface.
6. Analytics and advertising status
Analytics is disabled in this static release. Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity identifiers are reserved in the code for a future consent-managed build, but those services do not load on this site while analytics remains disabled.
The current release does not place advertising cookies or run personalized advertising. If optional analytics, advertising, or consent features are introduced, this policy will be updated before they are enabled and the site will provide the choices required by applicable law.
7. Messages you send us
If you contact Calculator XL by email, we receive the email address, message, attachments, and other information you choose to include. We use that information to reply, investigate a reported formula or result, respond to a privacy request, consider a calculator suggestion, protect the site, and keep a record of important operational decisions.
Email is handled through the email provider used by the Calculator XL operator. Do not include unnecessary sensitive information. If you report an error, include the calculator name, the inputs, the result you expected, and enough detail for us to reproduce the issue, but remove personal information that is not needed.
8. Why information is used
We use information only for purposes connected with operating Calculator XL and responding to people who contact us. These purposes include delivering pages and calculator functionality, remembering local preferences, answering messages, reviewing correction reports, evaluating tool suggestions, preventing abuse, maintaining security, and meeting legal obligations.
Where privacy law requires a legal basis, the basis may be your request to use a service, our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the catalogue, compliance with a legal obligation, or consent for an optional feature such as analytics.
9. When information is shared
Information may be handled by the providers that host the site, deliver email, serve fonts or icons, or provide currency-rate data. Those providers receive only the information needed for their service and operate under their own terms and privacy notices.
We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or a valid request from a regulator or public authority, or when disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, and security of Calculator XL, its visitors, or others.
10. International processing
Calculator XL and its service providers may process technical information in countries other than the country where you live. When applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we will use the protections available to us, such as contractual or other recognized transfer mechanisms.
11. Retention and deletion
Browser preferences remain on your device until you clear them, your browser removes them, or the site replaces them. Calculator XL does not maintain a server-side account history for those preferences in the current release.
Messages and related email records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, investigate a correction, consider a suggestion, protect the site, resolve a dispute, or meet legal and accounting obligations. When information is no longer needed, it is deleted or securely disposed of where practical.
12. Security
Calculator XL uses HTTPS delivery and a data-minimizing static design. We take reasonable measures to protect information within our control, but no website, email service, browser, or internet transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
13. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live and which law applies, you may have rights to request access to personal information, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, objection to certain processing, or a portable copy of information you provided. You may also withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
To make a request, email contact@calculatorxl.com with enough detail for us to understand the request. We may ask for information needed to verify that the request relates to you. You can clear local storage through your browser settings, and you may contact the privacy regulator in your country or region if you believe your rights have not been respected.
14. Children
Calculator XL is a general-audience catalogue and is not directed specifically to children. Please do not submit a child’s personal information or sensitive information through the site or by email. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when Calculator XL changes, a provider changes, new features are introduced, or legal requirements develop. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the version currently published. Material changes will be described more clearly when appropriate.
